Shaun and Claire fly to a hospital in San Fransisco to pick up a liver for a patient. Back at the hospital, the man receiving the liver may have problems when it's revealed that he has alcohol in his system.
On Shaun's first day, Melendez sticks him with "scut work," which no surgeon wants to do. Meanwhile, the team must perform surgery on a middle-aged woman with a sarcoma which may be fatal.
